Department: Stormwater & Building Services
Pay Range: $24.52 – $32.83 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time (35 hours/week), Overtime Eligible

Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Utility Laborer/Locator. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work efficiently, manage tasks effectively, and interpret maps and documentation related to underground utilities. This role plays a key part in supporting our stormwater and building operations.

⚠️ ROAD CLOSURE ALERT ⚠️
A large tree has come down on Sycamore Street and is tangled in power lines. The road is currently not passable between Columbia Street and Eakin Park.

We are working to get Duke Energy on site as quickly as possible. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes.

Public Service Announcement – Tree Inventory in Progress

Beginning today and continuing throughout the week, Great Lakes Urban Forestry will be in town conducting a Tree Inventory on behalf of the Town of Danville.

There will be no traffic disruptions or street closures, but residents may notice personnel out and about documenting tree data in public spaces.

Building repairs will be underway over the next few weeks at 58 West Main Street. For safety reasons, the sidewalk directly in front of the building and a few nearby parking spaces will be closed during this time. Thank you for your patience as this work is completed.
