The Boyle Co Conservation District has a limited amount of Wildlife Foodplot Mix at the office. This is free to the public. We are open 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday. First come first serve. The Conservation District is located at 448 N Danville Bypass (walkout basement of Farm Bureau Bldg.)

Our 2026 Tree Seedling Giveaway is officially over. Boyle County residents received a total of just under 3000 seedlings, including seedlings being sent home with almost 500 3rd grade students in our schools. Big Thanks to the Ag students at Boyle County High School for packing the seedlings for the 3rd graders!

Still have a some trees left…. Not many but come get them if interested! We have the following:
Northern Red Oak (about 30)
Hazelnut (10-15)
Shagbark Hickory (about 20)
Black Walnut (about 20)
Pin Oak 100

Still have some left! Come on out for Red Oaks, White Pines, Black Walnut, Persimmon, Hazelnut, Pecan, Oaks, and Hickory. Over 1/2 of what we had are gone.

On Tuesday March 24th, 2026, Boyle County Conservation District celebrated the winners of the 2025 Jim Claypool Art and Writing Contest. We were happy to have students from Boyle County High School, Bate Middle School, Junction City Elementary, Perryville Elementary, Woodlawn Elementary, and Toliver Intermediate participate in the contest and attend the banquet to receive their awards. Speakers were Jamie Hester from KY Fish and Wildlife who shared information on the camp opportunities through Fish and Wildlife, and Raegyn Stinnett who shared her experience attending the UK Forestry Leadership Camp last year. (FYI- Sponsorships for both of these camps and more could be available through the Boyle County Conservation District.....come see us!)
Congratulations to all of our winners! And thank you to the teachers of these schools for participating!
