The week of September 8-12 is a yard waste collection week. To ensure pick up, please ensure yard waste is placed curbside by 7 am on your collection day.

For yard waste guidelines, please visit https://www.danversma.gov/382/Yard-Waste-Pickup.

As a reminder, curbside collection will be delayed on September 7 due to the holiday. Service will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week, with Friday's collection occurring on Saturday, September 12.

Danvers Electric is required by ISO New England to conduct a 5% Voltage Reduction Test twice each year. Danvers Electric will complete this test on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, between 10–11 AM.

This is a test only. Power will not be interrupted during this test, and customers should not experience any noticeable effects. The voltage reduction is brief and stays within safe limits for most appliances and equipment.

Please note that this is not an actual capacity deficiency event. This test allows New England grid operators to measure how much load reduction can be achieved if a real capacity issue arises in the future.

Town offices will be closing at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 10 to allow employees to attend an employee engagement event. This annual event is a time for employees to come together in acknowledgement of their dedication to the Town of Danvers & to celebrate the work of their co-workers. Town offices are open normal hours on Friday (8:00 AM - Noon). Thank you for your understanding.

The Danvers Fire Department invites our community to join us on Friday, September 11, 2026, as we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001 and honor the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

This year’s ceremony will include a reading of the names of every firefighter, police officer, and EMT who lost their lives that day, with members of the Danvers Fire Department, Danvers Police Department, and Northeast Ambulance participating.

Please join us as we remember those we lost, honor their sacrifice, and ensure their names are never forgotten.

All are welcome.
