I don’t recall our exact conversation when we met at a Pat McGovern for Governor event, but I do remember her warmth and easy manner.

A community effort led by Steve Jesi, whose daughter, Stephanie, was taken by addiction joined with Middleton Public Health Director Traci Mello, Fire Chief Doug and their predecessors Derek Fullerton and Frank Twiss to make Narcan readily available, along with vital Opioid Awareness education and First Aid Training. What a perfect use of their Opioid Settlement funds (every town and city receives these funds through the Opioid Settlement won by Atty. General Maura Healey prior to her election as Governor. She prosecuted the Sackler Family for knowingly peddling highly addictive and dangerous opioids to make obscene profits. And she won. Community Opioid Awareness Week Ma DPH

PLEASE EXTEND THE COMMENT PERIOD ON BEVERLY AIRPORT RUNWAY EXTENSION AND NEW TAXIWAY!
Here's the link to weigh in on the Beverly Airport runway extension and new taxiway. The project entails reducing wetlands, adding impervious surface, cutting trees, adding lighting and much more. A report detailing the projects was presented to the public on Monday, July 6th (!). 200+ pages long, highly. technical. The deadline for public comment is today, August 21st.
Given the poor timing and density of the report, I have requested an extension of the comment period to September 20. Here is the link: https://eeaonline.eea.state.ma.us/EEA/PublicComment/UI/collectcomment/69d76169-aeff-4dcd-965b-09b816e145e6
Please register your concern about Bev Airport expansion AND request an extended comment period. Email [email protected] with questions.

Primary Care physicians are burned out and leaving the profession. Newer docs go into specialties with far less administrative work and less static from pharmacy benefit managers and insurance companies. Patients can’t find a P*P. This bill addresses the crisis. Grateful for my House colleagues’ willingness to hear and consider my input. Kudos to Speaker Ron Mariano, Rep. John Lawn John Lawn and the Healthcare Finance Committee and Rep. Starting in September, you’ll be able to take this bus to Salem from Downtown Danvers! Long list of people to thank in the Town of Danvers Senator Joan B. Lovely and in the Legislature, where so many of the conversations took place. I appreciate support from Governor Maura Healey Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll Brendan Crighton for State Senate Donahue Rodriguez, Adam Kamoune, Tom Glynn and Tom McGee, Town Manager Cahill, former Acting TM Rodney Conley, former manager Steve Bartha, Selectboard members and chairs current and past, including Bennett, Mills Trask, Bernard, Bean, Dutrochet Djoko and the local MVP, George Saluto, a retired GE Comms professional who waged a one-man campaign for a more vibrant downtown Danvers —and he’s still at it!
Whether you need the bus because you’re mobility impaired or can’t drive, or you like the idea of going over to Salem (including the Depot) and leaving your car in Danvers, now you’ll have this option. transportation Shore MBTA

There’s a lot to like in our Economic Development Bond Bill! Really proud of the local projects we put in line for funding, including the Danvers Rail Trail Crossing on Maple Street and projects in Peabody, Wenham, Topsfield and Middleton.

FY ‘27 budget and Economic Development bond bill highlights are coming, but first, I must thank the Danvers churches that rang their bells on July 4 following the Reading: Church of Danvers, Holy Trinity United Methodist Church and
All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore. Elizabeth Chouinard rang the All Saints bell, which meant missing the reading; we are grateful! And thank you, as well, to Saint Marys of the Annunciation Church.
Thank you Lizz Bernazzani , Aimee Velazquez, , Karen Wagner, Chris Hopkins and of course David McKenna and Laura Cilley of Danvers Historical Society, Danvers Alarm List Coy & Friends of the Peabody Institute Library and Danvers 250 folks!
