It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dale Robart Sr. Dale is a long time member of our department, joining back in the 1970’s. Dale remained an active member throughout his years of service as a firefighter and most recently as fire police. He took great pride in the department and helping his community. His dedication to the fire service continues on through his family, his wife is a member of the auxiliary and both of his sons have served in our department as well as others. His quick whit and knowledge will be missed. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Firefighter Steven Robart. Steven originally joined as an explorer through the Boy Scouts and then became an active member following that. He is a second generation firefighter, his father is still a member of our department and his mother is an auxiliary member. Steven brought a lot of dedication and knowledge to the department and to our community. After moving away from our district he continued to serve the fire service and the communities he lived in, including District 3, Cumberland Head, and currently Peru Fire Department. Steven will greatly be missed. Rest easy Steven, we have it from here.

We would like to thank everyone for their support this year for yet another successful spaghetti dinner. We also want to thank the members and auxiliary that helped make this event happen. We are already looking forward to next year’s dinner. Again, thank you all!

Our annual Election Day Spaghetti Dinner will be held at the Village Community Center from 4pm-7pm. Take out only again. Hope to see everyone again this year and thank you for all your support.

The Cadyville Fire Department will be hosting the “Greg Timmons Memorial” Waterball Tournament and Craft Fair on Sunday September 22nd at the St. James Church Grounds. Craft Fair will run from 11:00am-3:00pm Refreshments will be available. Drawing for Waterball Tournament Bracket will be held at 11:00am with the tournament beginning at 11:30am sharp. $20.00 PER team. Proceeds will go to the Peru Fire Department Greg Timmons Scholarship to be awarded yearly to a firefighter attending “Hands-On Training” at the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs Conference. Fire Departments wishing to enter a team in the Waterball Tournament are asked to contact Jeff Favaro at 518-565-7848 by 9/15. The members of the Dannemora Fire Dept. send our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Greg Timmons. An amazing person who would help anyone at anytime without question. His countless hours training new and seasoned firefighters alike is unmatched. He brought so much knowledge anywhere he went. Words cannot describe how much he is already missed. Greg is not only a mentor to countless people, he is a brother to all of us in the fire service. His legacy will last forever. Rest easy Car 5!

A huge shout out to CCOES Dispatcher 704 on your last day behind the headset. Pricilla, your commitment and compassion to this community and the first responders in Clinton County cannot be expressed in words. You have touched many hearts and helped so many in their worst times. You have always been the calm on the other end of the line, whether it’s the phone or the radio. You have kept us all in line throughout the years, we cannot be more thankful for you. Thank you for everything. It will be bittersweet for us all this afternoon when you can officially call it a career. Enjoy whatever your next chapter brings, you deserve it! From all of us at DFD……Congratulations!
