DYS is a private, non-profit agency designated as the Youth Services Bureau for the City of Danbury. DYS is also a licensed Psychiatric Clinic with a Child Psychiatrist serving as its Medical Director. Its mission is to empower youth to live fulfilling and positive lives. The agency has committed over 50 years of service to youth and their families from the Greater Danbury Area. (DYS) specializes

in specific service areas that include a clinical program providing counseling services to youth and families ages 6 – 18. In addition DYS provides a variety of early intervention/prevention programs and positive youth development programs including but not limited to Girls Leadership program, Mentoring, Youth Employment Services, and Earn-A-Bike. DYS programs are provided at little or no cost to its participants. DYS collaborates with various organizations in Danbury to offer its programming.
