As those who attended the recent clubs fair will be aware, College Republicans was not included. This was not due to lack of trying on our part. We are currently investigating the lack of inclusion of our organization from Student Government. This has been going on for over a year and needs to stop. Come to our next meeting on Monday, February 22, where we will address this issue and others.

As today is Donald Trump’s last day in office,
the Western Connecticut State University College Republicans would like to offer an official statement. First, we would like to thank Donald Trump for the things he has done to help the American people, especially given the circumstances of an unforeseen pandemic. Second, we would like to officially state that we do not support violence of any kind, and similar to Donald Trump, we openly condemn the capitol riots. Finally, we will continue to operate as a Republican organization even though we no longer have a Republican President. Our political identities do not lie in the fact that we are Trump supporters, but rather in the fact that we support Republican values. This means that we vote to protect the rights given to all Americans in the constitution and we will fight fiercely to protect them. If you’re interested in supporting our cause or you want to know more about the Republican students at Westconn: stop by for a meeting!
