Beginning August 4th, the Department of Social Services has partnered with the state’s Community Action Agencies (CAA) to distribute the one-time $300 grocery card to those who have lost their SNAP benefits due to federal work rules eligibility changes. Individuals who have lost their SNAP benefits because of these changes should reach out directly to their local CAA. More information about the changes can be found here. If you need additional food pantry, soup kitchen or mobile food assistance, visit www.211ct.org or www.ctfoodshare.org
