Ric Dahlin holds the ASA 211 Master Instructor designation — the highest level of ASA certification — and is one of only 50 active Master Instructors worldwide. Named ASA Outstanding Instructor of the Year three years in a row, he has trained sailors and instructors across the West Coast, Canada, Hawaii, and the Caribbean.

Aventura Sailing Academy offers a full range of ASA courses year-round, setting sail daily.

The Marina's youth program serves Orange County across Title I schools, indigenous tribes, and local nonprofit organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, Sandy Feet Initiative, and more.

The program expands public access, instills environmental consciousness, and fosters the next generation of ocean lovers.

Over 90% of the program's participants have never been to Dana Point Harbor or stepped onto a boat before joining the program.
