During Thanksgiving and Christmas, Truck Loads of Food, Presents, a Lit Christmas Tree, and Poinsettias to our Families so they might fully enjoy the festive season while their loved were away. In terms of Execution relative to our Mission, word has it that we are one of the best at making use of the limited resources we have at our disposal while meeting the needs of our 5th Marines and their Families.

This Memorial Day, members of the Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group Board of Directors gathered to honor and remember our fallen heroes at memorial services held at beautiful Pines Park and the 5th Marine Regiment Memorial Garden at Camp Pendleton. 🎖️🕊️
Surrounded by family, friends, veterans, active-duty Marines, and members of our community, we paused to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who gave everything for our country. A meaningful remembrance of those military members who gave their lives in service to their country. Special recognition this year was for those 13 who died in Operation Epic Fury. The Dana Hills High School Singers added a beautiful and moving touch to the solemn ceremony, their voices bringing heartfelt emotion and reflection to the service.
At the 5th Marine Regiment Memorial Garden, the legacy of the Fighting Fifth lives on through the names, stories, and memories of Marines and Sailors who will never be forgotten. Brother Marines often leave meaningful tributes at the monuments — a favorite beer, challenge coins, and other personal mementos that symbolize the bond they shared with the fallen and the enduring brotherhood that lives on beyond the battlefield.
Today — and every day — we remember the fallen, honor their sacrifice, and stand beside the families who carry their legacy forward. ❤️🤍💙
Freedom is never free.

MEMORIAL DAY
As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us never forget those who did not make it home. We honor the fallen, remember their courage, and keep their legacy alive in our hearts.
Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice purchased the freedoms we enjoy every day — freedoms that came at an immeasurable cost.
To our Marines, Sailors, service members, and Gold Star families — we remember. We honor. We are forever grateful. ❤️🤍💙
“Freedom is never free.”

Iron sharpens iron. Marines sharpen Marines. 💥

You may see some familiar faces in this post!
Our Marines with the 5th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 26, and Philippine Marines with the 3rd Marine Brigade hit the ground together during a combined PT event at Exercise Balikatan 2026 in Palawan, Philippines. 🏃‍♂️🔥
From early morning formation runs to building stronger partnerships, Balikatan continues to prove that the bond between our nations is built on trust, teamwork, and shared commitment.
“Balikatan” means “shoulder-to-shoulder” — and that’s exactly how these warriors train. 💪🌏
We are very proud of our Fighting Fifth!

✨ ARMED FORCES DAY ✨
Today we honor those who are serving right now—standing watch, answering the call, and protecting our freedom every single day.
While Memorial Day remembers the fallen and Veterans Day honors those who have served, Armed Forces Day is for the ones currently in the fight—Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard.
Created after the formation of the Department of Defense, this day brings all branches together under one mission:
defending our nation.
From bases to hometowns, you’ll see parades, air shows, and communities coming together to show their support. ✈️🇺🇸
To those serving today—we see you, we thank you, and we stand behind you.
Semper Fi. 💥
