Baker Families - we need YOUR help! The 8th Grade Dance is coming up and we need parent volunteers to help create decorations before hand as well as set up, run games, & clean up the evening of the dance

We're hoping the 6th & 7th Grade families will volunteer the night of the dance so the 8th Grade parents are free to be with their kids - helping them get ready, taking photos, driving them around.

We still need some volunteers for our Board next year - please consider volunteering so our students can have the best 2026-2027 school year possible!

We need your help! Without parent volunteers the John T Baker Middle School PTA will end and cease to exist! We can’t let that happen!!

We still need a Treasurer and 8th Grade Committee Chair. Please email [email protected] if you can help.

Why does this matter you ask? Our middle schoolers need you!! While you may not see it, PTAs significantly support the student experience. Without the PTA, there will be no more: PTA sponsored events for the students, school dances, fundraising for 8th grade end of year activities and t-shirts - and so much more!

Auction & International Night is coming up tomorrow at 6 pm - Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

One week until our Silent Auction & Baker International Night! Thursday, April 30th, 6 to 8 pm

Come learn about the different cultures represented in our amazing student body & check out our auction at the same time!

Proceeds will help support our 8th Grade end of year activities - class t-shirts, field trip, dance, & promotion ceremony!

Staff Appreciation Week is next week, 5/4! We need your help to make this a rousing success! As always, if you'd prefer to donate funds, please email [email protected] for the various options.

What we're looking for -

1. Donations for gift cards (either cards themselves or cash towards the purchase of a gift card). These are raffled off each morning by Mr. Levine and announced during the morning announcements. It was a huge hit with the teachers and the students last year, so we're doing it again!

2. Staff breakfast donations for Monday, 5/4 - food or funds can be donated!

3. Hydration Station - beverages or funds towards beverage purchases are needed for a daily hydration station. Reusable tumblers and inspirational stickers will be provided for the staff to use & refill at the Hydration Station each day.

4. Staff lunch - We always do a luncheon on Thursday (5/7 this year!) to round out the week with a hearty lunch and thank you to all of the staff for all of their hard work. Donations of food or funds are needed!

DHS as well as Baker are still looking to fill PTA positions for next year. We need YOU to step up to avoid having to close the PTAs.

PTSA Leadership Opportunity for 2026-27 – Volunteers Needed
We are in urgent need of volunteers to serve in key PTSA leadership roles for the upcoming school year. Several critical positions will be opening in May, including President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Our PTSA plays a vital role in supporting our students, staff, and school community. These leadership positions are essential to ensuring we can continue the programs, events, and supports that make a positive impact at Damascus High School.
