Parking Update:
NO PARKING behind Day Block tonight. There are four spots that need to be painted.
NO PARKING in the back parking tonight. The crew will be painting the parking stalls.

Painting Update:
The Damariscotta Public Works crew made great progress last night with painting crosswalks and parking stalls. All of the crosswalks downtown have been completed and there are a couple more to do beyond the historic district. The crew will continue work tonight and potentially Tuesday night.

Crosswalks:
The crosswalks are a bit slippery. This is normal after painting as the glass beads are placed on/above the paint. The beads are necessary and customary for crosswalk painting to allow them to be reflective at night. This will wear down in a couple of days, in the meantime, please walk with some caution.

We appreciate your cooperation while we get this work completed. Please call the Town Office with any questions.

The Public Works Crew will be out this week painting crosswalks and parking stalls. Work will begin tonight and take place over the next few nights, depending on the weather. Please park in the back parking lot overnight so they can complete the work.

The Select Board recently approved a policy that helps guide staff and our community in the use of this online, public forum. Just as attendance at in-person meetings expects a certain decorum, so does the online forum. We genuinely appreciate the feedback that is shared on our Facebook posts/account and we do not want that to stop. What we do hope for is that everyone posting and engaging with us online can do so within these updated guidelines. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and continued support.
