Clothes that don’t fit you anymore? Donate them! Clothes that aren’t your style anymore? Let someone else love them!

With the beginning of the school year in full steam, and winter nearing, Skidompha will be conducting a clothing swap for anyone ages 12 years and older! Please drop donations at bins located throughout the library prior to the event. In addition, please ensure clothes are in clean, good condition. If you’re unable to clean clothing before donating, no worries- Miss Vivian will take care of it!

September's question: What types of physical music media, if any, do you collect? How do you primarily listen to music these days, and how do you think that decision impacts your listening habits? (Show and tell of collections encouraged!)

Staycation Story Time: The Duck Can't Sleep
Saturday, September 5th | 10:00 AM
Skidompha Atrium | All Ages

Join us for a special storytime and book signing with Martha White, granddaughter of the late E.B. White, as she reads from the newly published book "The Duck Can’t Sleep." The event is free, and all ages are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided.

Long past bedtime, two creatures sleeplessly wander around and around the reservoir in New York’s Central Park. What woes and wonders keep them awake so late?

Based on a poem originally published in The New Yorker by the legendary author E.B. White, and marvelously illustrated by two-time Caldecott Honoree Melissa Sweet, the book you hold is a love letter to nature in unlikely places, a testament to the power of imagination, and a balm to restless readers everywhere.

Special thanks to the Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop and the Skidompha Club.
