This Thursday, March 19th at 3:30-4:30 PM, Dr. James Adams will present "The Underwing Moths (Catocala) of Taylor's Ridge, GA" on the numerous species of moths right here in northwest Georgia. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend. The talk will be in Sequoya 102, and there will be pizza.

Title: The Underwing Moths (Catocala) of Taylor's Ridge, GA

Abstract: These are gorgeous moths and Taylor's Ridge in Walker County likely represents the hotbed of diversity for this genus in the world. Dr. Adams will report on 50+ species, showing some of the exciting other species that are unusual and occur on Taylor's Ridge. Come enjoy this talk showcasing the rich diversity of moths that are essentially in your own backyard here in NW GA!

Avi Brown, mentored by Dr. Jenny Crisp, showcased his research on variations in Appalachian English within Jewish communities. Abbey Dunfee and Chloe James, mentored by Dr. John Lugthart, presented their conservation work on the Trispot Darter.
