The OSFM sends our thoughts and prayers to our brothers and sisters in Idaho who have been impacted by the tragedy events. We stand with the Idaho State Fire Marshal's Office and offer our support during this difficult time.

Yesterday we were happy to receive our new battery-powered extrication equipment. These replaced our old hydraulic extrication tools. Thank you to AEC Fire Equipment with their help. Hopefully, we don't have to use them very often, but these will help us serve the community and public better.

Looking for a good gift for your local emergency service providers....make sure you have visible house numbers or mailbox numbers. Making your address easily recognizable will help first responders to provide services quicker and take away any confusion.

“I am a Firefighter"
I am neither a Hero
nor Superhero.
I can be burnt by fire
and smoke can overcome me.
I can be exhausted by heat
and frozen by cold.
I can be trapped by collapse
and fall from heights.
I may sustain serious injury,
and might even make the "ultimate sacrifice" for you.
I will suffer all of these…
if you need me.
I hope we never meet, but if we do,
I will never leave you!
I have worked and trained hard and earned this,
the proudest of titles...
I am a Firefighter.
