Our next meeting is coming up on September 17th. Hope you can join us. Meetings are held at St. John’s Blymire UCC at 1009 Blymire Rd, Dallastown. Meetings begin at 1 PM followed by light refreshments at the conclusion of the meeting. Come early to get a good parking spot, register, sign up for bus trips, socialize and find a comfortable cushioned seat in the sanctuary.
Chorus is BACK!!!! How exciting! Can’t wait to hear them again.
Bus Trip: If you signed up to travel with us on Tuesday, November 10th to see “Christmas Rush” at Bird-In-Hand, trip payment of $105 is due at Thursday meeting.
September’s Program: Lisa Weigard, Executive Director, Sparrow Place, will be our guest speaker this month. Sparrow Place has many volunteers, staff and Board members that love the Lord and stand passionately against the abomination of s*x trafficking. They deliver therapy “Nest Boxes” to local health resources to distribute to women affected by trafficking.
Community Outreach Project: Supporting Sparrow Place’s "Nest Kits" Therapy boxes for women affected by trafficking: Items needed include: Journals, sketchbooks, colored pencils, markers, watercolor sets, stress putty, hand knit blankets, stuffies, stress balls, squishy toys, fidgets, sensory puzzles, earbuds, speakers, essential oils, coloring books, blue light glasses and sticker books. Checks may be written to Sparrow Place.
