In 2026, a local couple purchased this property with the plans of moving the main office of their business to Dallas. Because of the City’s Urban Renewal Grant Program, they were able to preserve this historic home by replacing the worn out roof and improving the sewer system. Now, this new business will be able to grow in Dallas and hire local residents!

Dallas Retirement Village is growing!

An exciting new chapter is on the horizon with plans to expand Independent Living through the addition of a new building. Designed to be similar to the Lodge Residences, these new apartment homes will offer another opportunity to enjoy the vibrant lifestyle and welcoming community Dallas Retirement Village is known for.

This weekend, Downtown Dallas was host to the PacWest Motorcycle show!

In April of this year, the Economic Development team was made aware that this event needed a new home after the closure of Oak Knoll Golf Course. The team reached out to event organizers and learned what they needed to make this event a success! Staff were able to help the PacWest team through the necessary permitting process, allowing for this wonderful event to take place this past weekend!

We are so happy to see that the event was a success, and we can't wait to see what the 2027 show brings!
