Come join us for a fun afternoon of colorful crafting and make something wonderful to take home!

Origami for Teens Tuesday, March 12th at 2pm
Come learn the ancient art of origami.

Teen Movie Time Wednesday, March 13th at 1:30pm
Teens! Join us in the Black Box Theater for a movie on Wednesday afternoon. Show starts at 1:30pm.

Spring Break Library Live! with Sandy Shrout
Thursday, March 14th at 3pm
Based on the fairy tale, The Princess and the Pea. Participants will enjoy a lively puppet performance of this fairy tale and, later, create their own sock puppets, which they will use to re-enact the story. All materials and props will be provided. Free event for the family!

Boogie Woogie Books! Friday, March 15 at 10:30am
Join us for stories, songs and dance with Mrs. Nora every Friday morning! Recommended for six (6) years of age and younger.

Our first annual Teddy Bear Picnic was a great success! More than 100 parents and children came with their teddies to enjoy stories, snacks and crafts at our picnic in the "woods". New Children's Librarian Miss Nora still remembers attending the teddy bear picnic at her library when she was a little girl.

Ringling Bros. Circus Clowns' Slappy and Monday entertained 75 people at Lochwood yesterday afternoon. Monday juggled and Slappy read the book, C is for Clown. The audience laughed and participated in the fun.

We held a birthday party for Dr. Seuss on Friday, March 2, 2012. It was a great success! Over 80 people showed up for festivities, including cake, crafts, and a showing of Horton Hears a Who!
