Healing from family violence takes time, especially when it comes to the impact on our emotional and mental well-being. This Mental Health Awareness Month, know that support is available.

The Family Place offers free individual and group counseling for domestic violence survivors, available in English and Spanish. Group sessions provide a safe space for peer support for adults, while activity-based programs help kids process trauma and work through the impacts of violence. Our case managers help you set goals and access the care you need.

Abusers often threaten, harm, or even kill family pets as a way to control their partners.

No one should have to choose between their safety and a beloved pet. That’s why our Ann Moody Place shelter includes Barkingham Palace, a safe, on-site space where pets are cared for alongside their families.
