Summer greetings to patrons of Dallas Aquatic Center!
It has been a busy and exciting year so far at the Dallas Aquatic Center. The leisure pool has been resurfaced, and the whale slide has replaced the fountains, which were no longer cost effective to maintain. Thanks to your generosity, 12,000 was donated to help repair the spa. The therapy pool is also continuing to receive needed repairs, including a larger heat exchanger and a new backflow valve. We are hopeful it will reopen in about two weeks.

These projects have been made possible through annual business banner payments and, most importantly, YOUR generous donations to FDAC. THANK YOU! Since we started in 2019, we have contributed $292,922.31 to the Trust Account for pool repairs and maintenance. We also currently have $3,909 in savings, grants, and scholarships, and $10,449 in checking. Altogether, that means more than $307,000 has been raised for the pool by you and local businesses over the past eight years. This balance includes the $82,500 we received in May from the Scatterday family bequest.

We have also learned about another helpful way to give tax-free money to FDAC. If you are age 70 ½ or older and have an IRA, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution, or QCD, to a nonprofit of your choice. This allows funds to go directly from your IRA to the organizations you choose, tax free. To do this, your financial service will need our name, address, and EIN number. Several of our patrons are already supporting FDAC this way.

Looking ahead to fiscal year 2026–2027, projects may include new chairs and tables for the party rooms, locker room upgrades, HVAC system improvements, and any other repairs or replacements that may be needed along the way.

We truly believe we have the best facility in the Willamette Valley, enjoyed by so many people in our community. Thank you for your continued support of our wonderful Dallas Aquatic Center. We could not do this without you.

Members of the FDAC board, library patrons and community
leaders, gathered today to honor Grace Scatterday. Attendees
expressed deep gratitude for her friendship, years of service,
support, and dedication to the Dallas Library and the City of Dallas,
Oregon. The Dallas Aquatic Center and its users owe a huge debt
of gratitude to Grace and her husband Glen for their unwavering
support, maintenance contributions, and facility improvements
through Friends of the Dallas Aquatic Center, a nonprofit that
supports the aquatic center.

The event featured a visit from Grace's daughter Janis Sutter, who
had presented a donation to the FDAC from her parents' estate.
She spoke briefly about Grace's legacy, her example to the
community, and details of her final years. It was a joyous occasion
celebrating one of Dallas's finest citizens.

your favorite nonprofits.)
