🌟 WELCOME TO THE TEAM, JOSH DUNCAN! 🌟

Before joining our team, Investigator Duncan served the Collin County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) as a Criminal Investigator in the Criminal Investigations Division and a Narcotics Investigator in the Special Operations Bureau.

At the CCSO, he conducted felony and misdemeanor investigations, managed confidential informants, and worked cases for both state and federal prosecution.

Notably, Duncan also acted as a lead investigator on Collin County's first jury conviction under the Fentanyl Murder law.

His investigative work has earned him a Commendation Medal from the CCSO, as well as the DA Greg Willis SuperSleuth Award for his outstanding detective work while serving with the CCSO.

Investigator Duncan, we are so lucky to have you!

Keith Putman: a two-time Supervisor of the Year Nominee with 17 years at Frisco Police Department and over 25 years of law enforcement experience.

Now, he’s bringing years of leadership and investigative experience to our team.

During his time with Frisco PD, Keith served as a Police Sergeant, where he gained valuable experience in law enforcement leadership and investigations. He supervised criminal, civil, and internal investigations and served on the SWAT team.

Through his work, Keith led a complete overhaul of Professional Standards investigation completion and retention processes, created and continued to refine Family Violence documentation forms, and improved training protocols for several essential programs.

In addition, Keith holds multiple certifications and licenses, including a Master Peace Officer License and Law Enforcement Instructor Certificate.

We are so lucky to have you on our team, Keith! 🎉

DA Greg Willis Announces 65 Year Sentence for Child Predator

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced today that a Collin County jury convicted Ivan Espinoza-Montes, 21, of McKinney, of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and sentenced him to 65 years in prison.

The Crime

In October 2024, the Collin County Sheriff's Office McKinney, Texas responded after a child made an outcry of sexual abuse by a family friend who had been staying in the home. Early that morning, Espinoza-Montes was found in the child’s room while the rest of the family was asleep. When the mother discovered him in the child’s bed, she immediately called law enforcement.

The Investigation

Detective Ryan Nance investigated the case. The child was forensically interviewed at the Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County, where she disclosed details of the abuse. She also underwent a sexual assault examination at the Turning Point R**e Crisis Center. DNA evidence collected during the exam corroborated the child’s outcry.

The Sentence

Espinoza-Montes was found guilty by a Collin County Jury of the first-degree felony charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. During the punishment phase, the jury heard evidence that at the time of this offense he was out on bond from Titus County facing pending charges that included two counts of Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant, Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, and Theft of a Fi***rm. After hearing evidence and testimony, the jury assessed punishment at 65 years in prison. Judge Jim Pruitt presided over the trial.

“This man was welcomed into a family’s home as a friend, and he then betrayed that trust by sexually assaulting a child. A Collin County jury saw the evidence and delivered a 65-year sentence. We will always fight to protect our children and hold predators accountable.”

Prosecution Team

Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Pierce Richardson and Ann Mathew prosecuted the case, assisted by District Attorney Investigators Sarah Putman and Glen Blackmon.

Yesterday, we celebrated National Intern Day! Thank you to all of our incredible interns, past and present.

To celebrate, our Summer Session II interns enjoyed donuts and coffee with DA Greg Willis, where they had the opportunity to reflect on their time at the Collin County Courthouse and share some of their favorite memories from the summer.

We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and eagerness to learn. Their enthusiasm has made a lasting impact, and we are grateful for everything they have contributed to the District Attorney's Office. Thank you for being a part of our team; we can't wait to see what you accomplish in the future!

DA Greg Willis Announces Princeton Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Prohibited Sexual Conduct

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced that Leslie Price, 41, of Princeton, was sentenced to the maximum Life in Prison for Prohibited Sexual Conduct, after a Collin County jury found him guilty.

The Crime

On September 10, 2024, Amarillo Police responded to a delayed outcry of sexual assault. The 17-year-old victim reported that her father, Leslie Price, had sexually assaulted her while she was living with him in Princeton. At the time of her outcry, the victim was three months pregnant with Price’s child.

The Investigation

After a forensic interview, the case was transferred to the Princeton Police Department TX. Price was arrested shortly thereafter. Investigators seized two of his phones, which contained Google searches inquiring whether a 17-year-old could get pregnant, ways for his daughter to obtain an abortion, and the age of consent in Texas. The victim gave birth in March 2025. Princeton Police obtained DNA samples from Price, the victim, and the baby. Testing confirmed that Price was the biological father of both his daughter and his granddaughter.

The Trial and Sentence

At trial, prosecutors presented the DNA evidence proving that Price had engaged in sexual in*******se with his 17-year-old daughter. The jury found him guilty of Prohibited Sexual Conduct. During the punishment phase, the State introduced evidence of Price’s prior prison sentences for Assault Family Violence and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Judge Kimberly Laseter assessed the maximum punishment of life in prison.

Statement from DA Willis

“Leslie Price committed the ultimate betrayal — he sexually assaulted his own 17-year-old daughter and fathered her child. A Collin County jury convicted him and the judge sentenced him to life in prison. This verdict protects our community and delivers justice for a young victim who showed tremendous courage.”

Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Kathryn Burgess and Mollie Thompson prosecuted the case, assisted by District Attorney Investigator Michael Bennett with legal support from John Rolater and victim support from Jill Moore and Valerie Miller.
