Who is Rae’s Hope? 💜

Founded in 2008 by Angela Rae Fields, Rae’s Hope serves girls ages 5–18 from South Dallas and surrounding communities.

Through sports, life skills, healthy living, social-emotional learning, financial literacy, education, leadership development, and community service, we help girls:

Build confidence
Discover their strengths
Develop practical skills
Serve their communities
Dream bigger for their futures

Rae’s Hope is powered by donors, volunteers, community partners, corporations, and philanthropic supporters who believe in the potential of every girl.

Who does Rae’s Hope serve? 💜

We serve girls ages 5–14 in South Dallas, Rowlett, and surrounding communities.

They are future leaders.
Dreamers.
Achievers.
Champions.

Through volleyball, fitness, mentorship, technology, financial literacy, healthy living, social-emotional learning, and leadership development, we provide safe and supportive spaces where girls can build confidence, discover their strengths, and feel a true sense of belonging.

Many of the communities we serve have been historically disinvested and have limited access to affordable youth programming, transportation, and other resources. Rae’s Hope helps create more opportunities for girls to move, learn, lead, and thrive.

What is Rae’s Hope? 💜

On this Thankful Thursday, we want to recognize Angela Fields.

Behind every thriving girl in this program is a woman who refused to quit. Angela is the Founder and Executive Director of Rae's Hope, but titles only tell half the story.

On any given day, you'll find her packing snacks, loading up the van, and personally picking up the girls to make sure no one gets left behind.

She plans every practice, leads every session, and pours herself into every moment, pushing her girls to work hard, speak with respect, and think critically about the world around them.

Then, when the day is done, she's writing grant proposals, rallying volunteers, hitting the pavement to pass out flyers, and building bridges with fellow nonprofits who share her vision.

Angela doesn't just run an organization — she IS the organization. She is proof that one woman, fueled by purpose and love, can revive a whole community one child at a time.
