Freeze Over? Now how can you tell if you have frozen Pipes? read on....
After experiencing freezing temperatures, it's crucial to check for signs of frozen pipes to prevent potential damage. Here are some ways to tell if your pipes are frozen:

No Water Flow:
Turn on faucets throughout your home. If little to no water comes out or the flow is significantly reduced, it may indicate frozen pipes.

Strange Odors:
If there are unusual odors coming from the faucets or drains, it could be a sign of a blocked or frozen pipe.

Frost on Pipes:
Inspect exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas such as basements, crawl spaces, or attics. If you notice frost on the exterior of the pipes, there's a possibility they are frozen.

Strange Sounds:
Listen for unusual sounds, such as banging or clanking, when turning on taps. This may indicate that ice is blocking the pipe.

Visible Damage:
Look for visible signs of damage, such as bulging or cracks in the pipes. If the ice inside the pipe expands, it can cause structural damage.

Low Water Pressure:
Decreased water pressure in your faucets can be a symptom of frozen pipes.
If you suspect that your pipes are frozen, it's important to take immediate action to prevent further damage:

Keep Faucets Open:
Allow a small amount of water to run continuously from the affected faucets. Moving water is less likely to freeze.

Apply Heat:
Use a hairdryer, heat lamp, electric heating pad, or towels soaked in hot water to gently warm the frozen section of the pipe.

Use a Space Heater:
Place a space heater in the affected area to raise the temperature and facilitate thawing.

Open Cabinet Doors:
If the frozen pipes are located under sinks, open cabinet doors to allow warm air to reach the pipes.

Call a Professional:
If you are unable to thaw the pipes or if there is a risk of burst pipes, contact a professional plumber for assistance.

Taking prompt action is crucial to prevent further damage and ensure the proper functioning of your plumbing system.

SHARE! SHARE! FREEZE WARNING IN DFW - TX
Since I know ya'll are busy and not used to this, I thought of posting this on here: The safety and well-being of my clients and community are a top priority. Please be advised the DFW metroplex is forecast to experience freezing temperatures this week into next - 's day is forecasted to be the coldest at low 7degrees:(

Taking preventive action is your best defense against having to deal with extreme cold-weather conditions.
DRIP YOUR FAUCETS. Slow moving water through a line will prevent ice accumulation.
Open Cabinet Doors under sinks to allow for heat to circulate.
Turn off outside features, such as faucets, spigots or lines, clear lines of water, and insulate wherever you can.
Insulate any exposed pipes located in garages, attics or crawn spaces to prevent frozen pipe ruptures.
Fire Sprinkler systems with lines exposed in garages have been an issue historically. Please do your best to make sure these are insulated, and Garages are kept closed.
Keep Thermostats set to 65* minimum, even if not at home.
If you plan on using a chimney, be certain the chimney is clean and clear, and that the flue is open.
If you use a space heater, be certain to use extreme caution and do not leave them unattended.

Other items for your consideration:
Prepare your emergency supply kits (home and auto).
Monitor your thermostats in all interior areas.
Bring your pets indoors.
Verify smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are functioning properly.
Properly close garage doors.
Ensure your vehicle is full of gas.
