A little MPE Dolly Day made it all the way to FOX 4 News Dallas Fort Worth ! 💗📚✨

A huge thank you to FOX 4 News Dallas Fort Worth and Lauren Przybyl for having us on and giving us the opportunity to share why Dolly Day meant so much to our MPE community.

What started as a day to celebrate Dolly’s incredible life and legacy became something even bigger—a reminder to our kids that making your mark can be as simple as choosing kindness, lifting others up and giving back.

And now we’re keeping it going. 💕 Our next mission is to collect 500 books = 500 reading opportunities, so every student at Merriman Park can choose a book of their very own to take home on Dolly’s birthday in January. 📚

Dolly made her mark through kindness, generosity and a lifelong love of reading. We hope this is one small way we can continue that legacy right here at MPE.

Thank you, Lauren and FOX 4, for helping us share the story—and hopefully inspiring even more people to help us spread a little Dolly magic, one book at a time. ✨📖

We’re still buzzing after seeing MPE Dolly Day on the news! ✨🤠 Now we’re keeping Dolly’s spirit of kindness and giving going with our next mission: BOOKS!

Our goal: 500 books = 500 reading opportunities for MPE students. 📚 Every student will get to choose a book to take home at our January 19 Book Bazaar!

🦷 Free Dental Care at MPE!

Texas A&M College of Dentistry is partnering with RISD to provide FREE dental sealants and fluoride applications for MPE 2nd and 3rd graders on October 1!

There is no charge, anesthesia or pain, and each appointment takes approximately 15–20 minutes during the school day.

Interested? Look for the information sheet and permission/release form in your child’s Wednesday folder. Please sign and return the form as soon as possible—we need at least 15 students to participate for the clinic to take place!

Every eligible student who returns a form will be seen, even if the dental team needs to return for additional days. 💙💛

💗✨ MPE Made Our Mark for Dolly Day! ✨💗

What started as a simple idea to celebrate Dolly Parton turned into some pretty special Dolly feel-good moments at MPE. 🦋

Our Panthers wore their pink, added a little sparkle, and—most importantly—were reminded that making your mark doesn’t have to be something big. It can be choosing kindness, lifting someone up, spreading joy, dreaming big, and helping someone else shine.

Seeing our Dolly Day featured on the news was such a fun surprise, but the best part was watching our students celebrate the kind of legacy we hope they’ll carry with them: leave people and places a little better than you found them. 💕

A little pink, a little bling, and a whole lot of heart. We think Dolly would be proud. ✨
