NYC didn’t owe us nothing but some tired legs and feet because BABY, WE WALKED! 😂😭 But every step was worth it!

Our team had the opportunity to meet, connect, and learn from people with different backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and perspectives—and that alone was POWERFUL. 🤝🏽🌎

We didn’t go to NYC just to take pictures. 📸

We went to LEARN. CONNECT. BUILD. EXPAND.

Every conversation gave us a new perspective. Every connection expanded our network. Every experience added to our knowledge and reminded us of the importance of getting in the room, being open to learning, and building meaningful relationships.

We left NYC with more than memories.

We left with KNOWLEDGE, CONNECTIONS, CONFIDENCE, NEW PERSPECTIVES, and a BIGGER VISION. 📚💼✨

Ownership is more than saying, “I have a tax business.”

Real ownership requires you to understand what you’re actually operating.

Who controls the business?

How does the money flow?

What are your responsibilities?

What systems are in place?

How are clients being acquired and retained?

How are you measuring growth?

What happens when you want to add preparers?

And most importantly…

What happens when you’re ready to move to the next level?

A tax business shouldn’t only be built around how many returns YOU can personally prepare.

At some point, you have to build systems that allow the business to grow beyond your individual production.

That’s the difference between simply being busy during tax season and intentionally building a business.

If you’ve been preparing taxes for years but haven’t really learned the ownership side, don’t look at that as a weakness.

Look at it as the next skill set you need to develop.
