🚨 ARREST HIGHLIGHT

Great work by the Lewisville Police Department on a recent arrest involving crimes against children.

šŸ‘ Thank you to the investigators working every day to help protect children in our communities.

Lewisville Police Arrest McKinney Man Following ICAC Investigation

Our Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) and Crimes Against Children (CAC) Detectives worked diligently on this case.

In July 2026, LPD detectives began an investigation after receiving multiple CyberTips through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children involving suspected child sexual abuse material.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Paulo Gonzales as a suspect and obtained arrest and search warrants.

On August 26, LPD CAC, ICAC, and members of the LPD SWAT Team executed the warrants at a residence in McKinney. Gonzales was located at the residence and arrested.

Dallas Police Department ICAC Unit assisted with the search and provided an Electronics Detection Canine to help investigators locate potential electronic and digital evidence.

Gonzales was charged with two counts of Possession of Visual Material Depicting Sexual Assault. One charge stems from a Denton County arrest warrant, while the second Collin County charge was filed based on material located during the search.

The Lewisville Police Department remains committed to protecting children and will continue to aggressively investigate allegations of child exploitation and work with our law enforcement partners to hold offenders accountable.

Thank you to our LPD ICAC and CAC Detectives, SWAT Team, and support staff for their outstanding work.. Special thanks to the Dallas PD ICAC Unit for its assistance and partnership.

Great work, team!

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The best online safety tool isn’t an app—It’s a conversation.

This summer, don’t wait for something bad to happen.
