A three-judge federal panel is hearing arguments in a lawsuit claiming that Texas Republicans violated the Voting Rights Act when they redrew state Senate District 10 in Tarrant County to lessen Black and Hispanic voting power.

Today marks the opening gavel of the "3rd Suppression Session" of this 87th Legislature and the #1 Topic will be Redistricting. We saw the Republican drawn State Senate map on Saturday, and only in Texas can minorities account for 95% of the population growth over the past decade but lose representation.
