These individuals balance full-time jobs, families, and everyday life—while still answering the call whenever help is needed.

🚧 Road Closure Notice – Plan Ahead! 🚧

Heads up! Several streets will be temporarily closed on Thursday, April 30th, 2026 from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM to accommodate a local event.

🔴 Affected Areas:
• 15th Street from Walnut Street North to the alley
• Alley north of Walnut Street from 14th St. west to 15th St.

⚠️ Important Reminders:
• No thru traffic will be allowed in the closed areas
• Please move any parked vehicles ahead of time
• Local access may be limited for residents and businesses

It is so sad to see such a dedicated and caring public servant go. Thank you Bret for your leadership and dedication to our town. Also thank you for calling out the safety concerns we have been experiencing since Tuesday night. Those of you who want to learn more, please attend the next council meeting.

This morning, the city received the resignation letter of Mayor Bret Van De Pol, with immediate effect. Mayor Pro Tem Angie Beaudet will step in to fill the role until the Council decides how best to fill the position moving forward.
