🚗 NOW HIRING: PART-TIME DELIVERY DRIVER

The City of Daleville is accepting applications for a Part-Time Homebound Meals Delivery Driver to help serve senior adults in our community.

Position Details:
✅ $8.00 per hour
✅ Up to 29 hours per week
✅ Monday through Friday
✅ Typical schedule: 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Primary Duties:
• Deliver meals to homebound residents
• Assist with dining room service during lunch
• Perform light janitorial duties, including restroom cleanup
• Help with other Senior Center duties as assigned

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working with senior adults.

This position performs duties related to the City’s building permit, zoning, and ordinance compliance programs, including assisting residents and businesses with City regulations, administering building and sign permits, handling zoning matters, and serving as Floodplain Manager.
Minimum Requirement:
• Possession of a valid Alabama driver's license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pre-employment screenings

The City of Daleville Public Works Department advises residents that our boom truck is currently out of service due to mechanical issues.

As a result, limb pickup has been temporarily suspended. Pickup services will resume as soon as the necessary repairs have been completed.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get the equipment back in service as quickly and safely as possible.

This is not acceptable.
To help keep the City of Daleville clean, all bulk household trash must be placed in garbage bags or appropriate containers before being set out for collection. Loose trash creates litter, is easily scattered by wind and animals, and makes cleanup much more difficult.
Keeping our community clean is a shared responsibility. The City is committed to providing collection services, but we all must do our part by properly preparing trash for pickup.

We're looking for City Departments, churches, civic organizations, school clubs, youth groups, businesses, and community organizations to host classic carnival-style game booths that bring back the excitement of old-fashioned Halloween.
