UNG Evergreen Learning UNG’s Evergreen Learning supports regional growth with training that drives job creation and business success.

Our entrepreneurial approach delivers fast, flexible, and innovative solutions to meet evolving workforce needs. In keeping with the primary purpose of the institution - providing an academically sound education--the Office of Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) at the University of North Georgia responds to community needs and interests by extending institutional educational services. PCE

offers non-credit programs, shares professional knowledge, and works as a partner with community leaders in educational efforts. The office also coordinates use of facilities and services by groups not affiliated with the institution. The University of North Georgia involves its faculty and staff and other professionals in diverse programs of professional and personal interest. It has a short course and seminar program on a regular basis, and program topics change frequently. Some programs are offered year-round, while others have a seasonal appeal. Interested persons may call the Office of Professional and Continuing Education to pre-register, request a bulletin, or to get further information about current offerings at 678-717-2377.

We are thrilled to introduce Cathy McLendon, the FIRST-EVER PEAKS Ambassador in Dahlonega!

Cathy truly embodies lifelong learning. At 70, she is a UNG - University of North Georgia student of Department of Visual Arts - UNG, a student of Appalachian and Gender Studies, a retired physical therapist, a musician, a Stephen Minister in training, and now a passionate advocate for PEAKS 55+!

Cathy’s energy, curiosity and heart for others make her the perfect person to help us welcome PEAKS to the Dahlonega Campus. We could not be more excited to have her representing our growing community of adults who believe that learning, friendship and new adventures have no age limit.

As PEAKS enters an exciting new chapter, we’re taking a moment to recognize Bill Furtwengler for the important role he played in helping lay the groundwork for PEAKS at UNG Blue Ridge.

Bill’s leadership, dedication, and belief in lifelong learning helped build the strong foundation we’re growing from today.

PEAKS is now expanding to Dahlonega, while our Blue Ridge community continues to flourish. As we move from our founding board structure to a new PEAKS Ambassador model, we are excited to welcome even more members across our community into the work of connecting, learning, and belonging.

Getting better results from AI often starts with asking better questions.

Use this simple framework:

✅ ROLE – Who should AI act as?
�✅ TASK – What do you want it to accomplish?�
✅ CONTEXT – What information does it need?
�✅ OUTPUT – How should the answer be presented?

Instead of:
"Help me prepare for a meeting."

Try this:
"You are a business consultant. Help me prepare for a 30-minute meeting with a manufacturing company interested in employee training. Identify five questions I should ask and organize them in order of importance."

Same AI. Better Instructions. Better Results.
