The Florida Association of Police Explorers (F.A.P.E.) was organized in 1971 to bring together Law Enforcement Explorers from around the State of Florida. Our organization serves as a conduit to unite Explorers and allow them to learn about law enforcement as a career.
The Dade City Police Department Explorers traveled to Orlando Florida to take part in the yearly "State Competition".
​​Each year the Florida Association of Police Explorers hosts an annual state competition. The competition allows Explorers from the State of Florida to compete in thirteen (13) law enforcement scenario based events.

Stay safe and enjoy your New Year 2018!

A Safe New Year is a Happy New Year! Happy Safe 2018 from the members of the Dade City Police Department.
•Don’t drink and drive ~arrange in advance for a designated driver or call a cab. Stay alert for other drivers that may not be driving as safe as you.
•Stick together ~ If going out, travel in groups or pairs and make sure everyone is accounted for at all times.
•Lock it up ~ Try to park in lighted areas. Remember to lock up your vehicle and keep valuable items out of view.
•Fireworks Safety~ Be responsible and follow all laws and rules regarding firework safety. It’s best to leave all firework activity to the professionals.
•Gun safety~ As a REMINDER, DO NOT shoot any ammunition into the air at anytime or as a celebration of the New Year! We will be out in full force to make sure our citizens remain as safe as possible.

Let’s continue to be safe and have a Happy New Year 2018 from our public safety family to yours.

The Dade City Police Explorers had a nice visit to the Edwinola during a recent training exercise downtown. A little ice cream at TJ’s Deli was a great way to end the day!

On Saturday May 6th, the Dade City Police Explorers were invited by the Boy Scouts of America to attend the "Inaugural S.T.E.M. Fair" to provide Security and Assistance to the Scouts. Brandi, Jonathan, Antoni & Rigoberto along with Detective Tungate did an AWESOME Job Representing our Great City...

Tonight was another great night of Training for our New Explorer Post. Tonight Explorers worked on their Interview Stance as well as learning how to line up in Squads... We also learned about Team Work.....
