n the heart of a thriving Colorado economy and in the midst of one of Colorado's fastest-growing counties. We have just adopted our "Dacono Forward 2017 Comprehensive Plan" that will guide our community into the future with great thought, passion and intention. Centrally located and adjacent to I-25 we are 10 miles north of Denver, 44 miles south of Fort Collins, 28 miles northwest of Denver International Airport (DIA), and 21 miles northeast of Boulder. A quick trip all the way around for work, travel, shopping, entertainment, arts, culture, recreation and school. For shopping and dining, you will find The orchard Town Center offering everything from bistros to burgers, Larkridge Shopping Center featuring an outdoor pedestrian mall, the Grove, with Cabela's as its anchor, and Furniture Row all about 15 minutes away. Located in southwest Weld County, one of the fastest-growing counties in the State of Colorado, we encompass nearly 8.2 square miles and foresee future growth that will expand our boundaries to 22 square miles. With a climate that is cool and dry and an average of 242 days of sunshine each year, we boast pleasant daytime conditions even in the winter. 🚧 Heads up, travelers: A full closure of CO 52 is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Friday, June 12, as part of the Colorado Highway 52 Safety Improvements Project.

Drivers should expect detours, increased travel times, and changing traffic patterns in the area. If you plan to travel Friday evening or throughout the closure period, be sure to review the project information and plan your route in advance.

For Dacono residents attending Boot Scoot’n Bash, Centennial Field remains accessible and is located more than six miles west of the closure area. The event will already be underway before the closure begins.

Dacono City Hall has transitioned to summer hours to better serve our community. City Hall will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 5:30pm and Fridays from 8am to noon.

The extended weekday hours provide additional flexibility for residents who need to visit before or after the traditional workday. Police administrative services will remain open from 8am to 5pm, Monday-Friday.

Many City services are also available online anytime at DaconoCO.gov, including utility payments, permit information, agendas, and more.

A partir del 26 de mayo, el Ayuntamiento de Dacono adoptará un horario de verano para servir mejor a nuestra comunidad. El Ayuntamiento estará abierto de lunes a jueves de 7:30 am a 5:30 pm y los viernes de 80 am a 12:00 pm
