Some of our lovely VDVRs were out defending democracy today, registering voters at the Lone Star College-CyFair Library. This young man registered for the first time and was proud to have his picture taken as he registered! We are empowering voters in CyFair!

Last night, our phenomenal league president, Leah Bailey Stephanow, attended a Vet the Vote event representing LWVCyFair. The panel discussed how they continued to provide voter services and run elections during crises like Hurricane Harvey, Covid, the Derecho, and even after a fire in 2010 destroyed all Harris County voting machines 2 months before the November midterm election. Democracy never sleeps and empowering voters is our calling!
