Happy National Military Appreciation Month!

Mayor Don Walters is proud to announce a new Veteran Banner Program in Cuyahoga Falls, created to honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, past and present.

Commemorative banners will be installed along Portage Trail from 13th Street to Lillis Drive. Banners will be displayed from Independence Day through Veterans Day. Each banner will feature a military photo, the service member’s name, branch of service, and years served.

Valley Vista Park will begin transforming this summer after the Valley Road water line replacement project is completed. The Parks and Recreation Department received a grant for the new accessible play structure and restroom building. The new splashpad will feature ground sprays, overhead showers, and misters. New pickleball and basketball courts will also be added. Future upgrades to the parking lot and walking paths will be phased in next season.
We are looking forward to bringing this favorite community park back into use for all the residents in Cuyahoga Falls!

Thank you Cuyahoga Falls Street Department!

Thank you Cuyahoga Falls Street Department!

With spring here, we’re taking a look back at winter in Cuyahoga Falls.

This season, our crews responded to 30 snow events and 61 inches of snowfall, which was above the 10-year average of 48 inches, while working more than 4,000 overtime hours to keep roads safe in our community.

With the help of a $75,000 H2Ohio Rivers Chloride Reduction Grant from the Ohio EPA, the City upgraded its truck fleet with a new Epoke Salt Spreader. Since December, it has treated 1,210 miles while using just 103.6 tons of salt and 4,091 gallons of brine, saving more than 100 tons of salt and reducing the amount of chlorides released into the environment and waterways.

Smart investments are paying off. Safer roads, smarter salt use, and healthier waterways. Thank you to our Street Department for all you do to keep Cuyahoga Falls moving forward in every season!
