🔥🚫 NACOGDOCHES COUNTY BURN BAN IN EFFECT 🚫🔥
The Nacogdoches County Commissioners Court has issued a burn ban effective October 27, 2026, for the unincorporated areas of Nacogdoches County.
The burn ban will remain in effect for 90 days, through January 25, 2027, unless lifted earlier.
🌾 Why is a burn ban necessary?
Continued dry conditions, low humidity, and dry vegetation have increased the risk of wildfires across our county. Even with lighter winds, fires can start easily and spread quickly, threatening homes, property, and public safety.
🚒 Our Volunteer Fire Departments have been especially busy, responding to numerous grass, brush, and wildland fires across the county in addition to their regular emergency calls.
❤️ We sincerely thank our volunteer firefighters for their continued hard work, long hours, and dedication to protecting our communities. Your service is greatly appreciated!
⚠️ Please help prevent wildfires:
* Follow the burn ban restrictions on outdoor burning.
* Secure trailer chains to prevent sparks.
* Avoid parking or driving in dry grass.
* Use caution with equipment that produces sparks.
* Properly dispose of ci******es.
