Cushing Police Department This is the Cushing Police Department's official page. We are a diverse community of approximately 9,000 .

It is ideally positioned 1 hour between Oklahoma City and Tulsa. We are also situated within 30 minutes of Big 12 Conference member, Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. We are a community that continues to experience positive growth. Our police officers provide a wide variety of law enforcement services to the community including but not limited to investigations, K9 patrol, emergency operations team, school-based community policing, and animal welfare/enforcment.

On May 13th a few of our Officers along with multiple other Law Enforcement agencies had the honor of carrying the Flame of Hope while it was traveling from Tulsa to Stillwater to light the cauldron at the Opening Ceremonies for the Special Olympics Oklahoma Summer Games 2026! Big thanks to everyone that helped provide transportation and es**rt vehicles to slow down traffic for us!

Final reminder! This Saturday is the FREE Brandon Hise Memorial Bicycle Rodeo at 100 Judy Adams Blvd (north parking lot)! Thanks to our amazing community we have 26 bikes so far to give away! Please have the participants wear closed toe shoes and bring a helmet if they have one. Some helmets will be provided if needed. They can register at the library or the day of the event.

We need more of the larger size bikes for the upcoming FREE bike rodeo! Please take all new bikes to the Cushing Public Library asap if your willing to help us make a child's day! The event is set for May 30 (next Saturday). Please spread the word. We have about 17 but we aim to be able to give out around 30 if possible. Please call us if you have any questions about the event or donation of bikes and ask for Detective Livergood or Officer Walker.

Big shout out to Cushing Wal-Mart, the Lionel and Bea Harris Foundation, and the Cushing Police Department "Beards for Bikes" fundraiser, we received 10 more bikes today to give away at the Brandon Hise Memorial Bicycle Rodeo on May 30 (3 weeks from now)!! Our Cushing PD team had the honor of participating in the Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics Oklahoma over the weekend! Our team raised over $4,000 that will go directly to the great cause! **SNOW AND ICE PLAN/ INFO**
Cushing has been placed into a winter weather advisory. In preparation for the projected snow fall, the City has implemented its Snow & Ice Removal Plan, which addresses street clearing. Priority routes will be cleared first and are as follows:

Highland from Main Street south to 9th Street
Little Ave. from Main Street South to 9th Street
Linwood Ave. from Main Street South to 9th Street
9th Street from Linwood Ave. West to Cleveland Ave.
Broadway from Cleveland Ave. East to Linwood Ave.
Cleveland Ave. from Highway 33 (Main Street) South to Cherry Street
Cleveland North from Main to Cypress West to Central, Central South to Main
Kings Hwy South of Main Street to Moses Street
Jones Ave. South of Main Street and then East on Timberridge to middle school entrance
Seay Ave. South to Moses Street

The Street Department will take necessary action to sand streets and parking areas, or grade and remove accumulations of snow from these areas.

The City of Cushing asks that if you have a vehicle along any of these routes, please park it off the street to allow crews necessary room to clear the roadways.

Please stay advised of the local weather conditions by monitoring news stations and the National Weather Service for updated information

The storm should start in the Cushing area around 5 or 6 pm today. Tulsa and Norman Weather have increased the storm snow total possibilities to 12+. The sleet totals have decreased. Today will be the strongest winds with gusts near 40. The wind will gradually decrease through the weekend. There will be 2 heavy waves of snow with each producing around 6 inches of snow. First is overnight tonight into Saturday morning. Wave two will start Saturday evening and run into Sunday morning. Windchills are still expected to be below zero through Monday morning.
