**SNOW AND ICE PLAN/ INFO**
Cushing has been placed into a winter weather advisory. In preparation for the projected snow fall, the City has implemented its Snow & Ice Removal Plan, which addresses street clearing. Priority routes will be cleared first and are as follows:
Highland from Main Street south to 9th Street
Little Ave. from Main Street South to 9th Street
Linwood Ave. from Main Street South to 9th Street
9th Street from Linwood Ave. West to Cleveland Ave.
Broadway from Cleveland Ave. East to Linwood Ave.
Cleveland Ave. from Highway 33 (Main Street) South to Cherry Street
Cleveland North from Main to Cypress West to Central, Central South to Main
Kings Hwy South of Main Street to Moses Street
Jones Ave. South of Main Street and then East on Timberridge to middle school entrance
Seay Ave. South to Moses Street
The Street Department will take necessary action to sand streets and parking areas, or grade and remove accumulations of snow from these areas.
The City of Cushing asks that if you have a vehicle along any of these routes, please park it off the street to allow crews necessary room to clear the roadways.

The storm should start in the Cushing area around 5 or 6 pm today. Tulsa and Norman Weather have increased the storm snow total possibilities to 12+. The sleet totals have decreased. Today will be the strongest winds with gusts near 40. The wind will gradually decrease through the weekend. There will be 2 heavy waves of snow with each producing around 6 inches of snow. First is overnight tonight into Saturday morning. Wave two will start Saturday evening and run into Sunday morning. Windchills are still expected to be below zero through Monday morning.
