This is a positive development for Stevens Creek Trail cyclists who enter / exit the trail at Whisman or Creekside Parks! Kudos to the Mountain View City Council.

Mountain View is taking steps to improve bicycle and pedestrian safety on Middlefield Road, a major thoroughfare that has been identified as a high risk corridor for vehicle collisions.

Grateful this is moving forward!

Grateful this is moving forward!

For years, Mountain View has been planning to conduct repairs along Stevens Creek where the banks have been severely eroded from winter storms. Now after securing the required permits, the city is moving forward with plans to fix the crumbling banks, including a segment near a school campus.

The 'Ameswell Bridge' to the Stevens Creek Trail is open!

On November 3rd, City and County representatives came to honor the occasion as well as members of Broadreach Capital, Ameswell and the public who wanted to be first to try out this new connection. Together with the separated bike and pedestrian paths on the property connecting to the bridge, there is now a safe route to the Stevens Creek Trail from Moffett Blvd for not just Hotel guests and restaurant patrons, but also NASA employees and residents of the North Whisman neighborhood.
