Did you know the Declaration of Independence arrived in Georgia on August 8, 1776? And it was first read to the public on August 10, 1776 by Archibald Bulloch at Tondee’s Tavern to a crowd of hundreds!

In celebration of this 250th anniversary IGY6 Coffee Shop in Dawsonville, a veteran owned and operated establishment will help host America 250 Day on Saturday, August 8 from 9-12:30. IGY6 Coffee

Tents with displays and kids activities will be hosted by veteran groups, DAR, SAR and C.A.R. with the Declaration being read at 11:00. Patriots of Liberty Society C.A.R. William Candler DAR and Forsyth SAR

Special appearance by Mrs.America Paige Ewing. Mrs. America

Donations for Project Patriot will be collected to ship care packages to overseas military!
