Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the bravery of the first responders, service members, and everyday people who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

May we carry forward the spirit of unity, compassion, and service that brought our nation together in the days that followed.

At CASA of Forsyth County, we believe in the power of showing up for one another and strengthening our community through service.

We remember. We honor. We serve.

Giving can look like a donation. It can also look like showing up. ❤️

This International Day of Charity, we’re celebrating the many ways people choose to make a difference in the lives of children in our community.

💙 CASA volunteers give something incredibly valuable — their time, their voice, and their commitment. They get to know a child experiencing foster care, advocate for their best interests, and help ensure their needs don’t get lost in the system.

❤️ You don’t have to change the whole world to make an impact.
Sometimes, you can change the world for one child.

Give your time. Give your voice. Become a CASA volunteer. 💙

Our CASAs must be trained in situations that you don’t see every day. When children are victims of abuse and neglect, our job is to be consistent and advocate for the needs of the child, even when they don’t explicitly voice these opinions. Every month, we create a scenario in our newsletter that allows for our community to have a glimpse into these situations and how we address them.

Are you signed up for the newsletter? Check out forsythcountycasa.org today!

CASA volunteers come in all shapes and sizes. No case is the same, just like no volunteer is the same. Any prospective volunteer will go through background checks and training. Although other organizations exist for child advocacy, CASA is the only program that is written into state law and in which volunteers are appointed as officers of the court!
