More travelers on the road is even MORE reason to stay alert! 👁️✔️

SUSPICIOUS DEATH- 18-YEAR-OLD FEMALE, ANGELINA ROCHA- CONCLUSION

As was reported back on June 6th, 2026, 18-year-old female, Angelina Rocha, was found deceased at a residence at 46 E. Barrows Street. The Cumberland Police Department, in consultation with the State of Rhode Island’s Office of the Medical Examiner, has concluded their investigation into the matter and did not find any criminal activity present. Ms. Rocha’s family has been apprised of those findings and there are no further comments being made available at this time.

Chief of Police Matthew Benson offers, “As was stated back in June, our collective thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends and loved ones of Ms. Angelina Rocha. This was a very tragic situation for all involved and I am glad that we were able to provide the family with some understanding and closure as to what happened that evening. I will not be making any further comments about this case, but offer to anyone reading this message, if you are struggling with mental health, there are several resources available to assist you. Please contact the State of Rhode Island’s Behavioral Health (BH) link at “988”, the Samaritans of Rhode Island at (401) 272-4044 or (800) 365-4044, or the Community Care Alliance’s Emergency Services out of Woonsocket at (401) 235-7120- to name a few. They are all available 24/7, 365 days a year, to listen and help in your moment of crisis. Likewise, to those close with someone who may be struggling with mental health in this form, or others, those resources are available to you as well.”
