Students should sign up to be a part of the RED STORM student section during lunch shifts on 12/21 and 12/22. If you sign up before winter break, you will get a free RED STORM tee-shirt at the beginning of January.

Fort Hill will have a Teacher vs. Student volleyball tournament on Thursday, December 22, 2022. Students can sign up in advance during lunch shifts in the cafeteria with $1 or a canned food item. All other students that will be watching can bring $1 or a canned food item upon entry to the event! Everyone is encouraged to wear holiday attire!

CONCERT POSTPONED

The Band, Show Choir, and Choral Christmas Concert planned for this evening at Fort Hill is being postponed due to the potential for inclement weather. The concert will now take place TUESDAY, December 20, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in the Fort Hill auditorium. We hope everyone can come out and enjoy the sounds of our dynamic music department next Tuesday evening!

Congratulations to senior, Brayson Fleegle, for scoring a Fort Hill record SAT score of 1580, 20 points shy of perfect. A score of that caliber places Brayson in the 99th percentile among 1.7 million test takers in the nation. Fort Hill High School is proud of Brayson and this outstanding accomplishment!

Helpful Hints for Saturday's game at Navy Memorial Stadium:

Buy tickets as soon as possible. Pre purchase of tickets gives Navy information on staffing for parking entrance, security check, concessions, and ticketing entrance.

Pre-purchase parking. Navy has set up pre-purchase parking for the event. Pre-purchasing parking allows the parking entrance to flow much faster for entrance. Schools who are sending FAN Buses should prepay for parking.

Plan to arrive early if at all possible. Do not miss out on the team taking the field or pre-game ceremonies by being stuck in traffic or waiting to enter the stadium with entrances filling up just before kick-off.

Know the stadium items permitted list (see below). The clear plastic bag policy will be enforced by stadium management. Do not have to return items to your car because your purse or other items are too large and do not meet stadium entrance policies.

Have tickets ready to be redeemed. Patrons who do not have a ticket that is able to be redeemed will be turned away. Screenshots are not valid tickets.

Prohibited items include the following:

Backpacks, computer bags, purses, f***y packs, briefcases, camera cases, binocular cases, camera cases, tote bags, fi****ms, bottles (glass or plastic),cans, thermoses, coolers, alcoholic beverages, outside food or drink, large bags, folding chairs, umbrellas, professional cameras and tripods, noise
makers, hanging banners/signs/sticks, chains, illegal substances, laser pointers, clothing containing vulgar language, large strollers, fireworks, aerosol cans, pets, pepper spray, and any item deemed by management to be dangerous or inappropriate.

Permitted items include the following (everyone and all items will be inspected):

Clear bags no larger than 12"x12"x6", small clutch purses no larger than 4.5"x6.5", blankets, seat cushions, diaper bags, umbrella strollers, video cameras. All bags (including purses) will be inspected.

Fan Bus only $25 a seat. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED SALES OFFERED on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 8 a.m. to noon or until sold out! Tickets will be sold out of the front office at Fort Hill.

There will be a Fort Hill Fan bus going to the state playoff game this Saturday, December 3rd. The bus will leave Greenway Avenue at 11am promptly. You may pack a cooler and store it under the bus to have food when you get to the stadium. No Alcohol is permitted on the bus. Please do not park in the oval at FH; utilize the street for all parking.

Tickets/vouchers for seating on the bus are first come first served. Once all tickets are sold out an announcement will be made on the F Club page. You may purchase tickets on Thursday, December 1st at FH from 8am to 12noon with cash only. (Please bring correct change) The price is only $25 per seat. Thanks to FHHS, the Football Parents, and the F Club donations we can offer this amazing price! This bus is only for FH spectators/fans and students riding MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Once at the bus Saturday morning Paul and Charlotte Lapp will be collecting vouchers and admitting fans onto the bus. No individuals will be admitted onto the bus without a voucher, so please be sure not to lose it. Fans are expected to return to the bus within 15-20 mins of the game ending.

Fort Hill High School recently held its first semester STARS recognition breakfast. There were 59 students nominated to receive either the Shining, Rising or PRIDE STAR award. Parents and family members were invited to attend the recognition of their children for their outstanding achievement, work ethic, and dedication to the PBIS expectations. Breakfast was prepared by the Fort Hill cafeteria staff, led by Mary Davis. Music was provided by Sentinel Steel under the direction of Joe Thompson. Members of the We Are Fort Hill Committee were in attendance to celebrate our students. Congrats to our STARS!

Congratulations, from left to right, to Jensen Moreland, Camden Zapf, Benjamin Twigg, and Alexis Heavner for being chosen as Fort Hill High School's representatives for Leadership Allegany! Rising Class of 2023. These students will have the opportunity to participate in sessions throughout the school year around the topics of healthcare/social services, government, business/economic development, and higher education. Way to go Jensen, Camden, Ben, and Alexis!

Attached please find information for your senior class concerning cap/gowns, announcements and additional items. The digital flyer includes QR codes and links that will take students directly to Fort Hill High School page on balfour.com.

Caps, gowns, and tassels will be delivered to the school in the spring, and all other items will be shipped directly to the students' homes.

The deadline for cap & gowns is January 15, 2023. All other items will continue to be available until April. Cap/gown units ordered after the January 15th deadline will be a late order.

Fort Hill will play Joppatown on Friday, November 25, 2022, with a kickoff of 6:30 p.m. Gates will open at 5 p.m. Online tickets via Go Fan or pre-purchased vouchers will be accepted at the gate. NO FUNDS WILL BE TAKEN OR EXCHANGED AT ANY OF THE GATES! Go Fan tickets will be available on the website to purchase by Monday afternoon. https://gofan.co/app/school/MD13221

Fort Hill High School recognizes that not all fans have access to a smartphone, an email, or a credit card. The MPSSAA instituted online ticketing for Playoff games beginning with Round #2 games, without an option in place for individuals who do not have these things. We will again offer the pre-sold vouchers as an option for our fans and spectators.

On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 8:15-10:50 a.m., we will offer fans who are not able to access online ticketing the option of securing your ticket to the game at the school. Tickets are $8.00 with an online processing fee required by the state of $1.00. Toal cost per ticket will be $9.00.

Fans who wish to exercise this option will need to follow the steps below:

1) Come to the school from 8:15-10:50 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22nd. This is the ONLY TIME pre-sale tickets will be arranged by the school.

2) Approach the school from the front. Ticket sales will be conducted at the Auditorium Entrance.

3) Fans may purchase as many tickets as they wish. Purchasing via the option we have set up for you is CASH ONLY. Fans must have $9.00 for each ticket bought.

4) The ticket seller will issue a voucher for each ticket bought. Fan names and ticket amounts will be registered by school staff on paper. Fans will need to verify the purchases made by initialing the document showing the number of vouchers received.

5) School staff will input and register each fan ticket prior to the gates opening and pay for the tickets using one credit card. The school will purchase the tickets online using the funds collected to secure a prepaid credit card.

6) Fans will bring their voucher to any open gate and school staff will take care of verification for you. You will not need to have an email, a credit card, or a smartphone. At the gate, we will take care of everything for you!

7) If you lose your voucher, or do not have a voucher for entry, you will be required to purchase a new ticket using the online option.

We are hopeful that the additional efforts of our school will help ALL of our fans to enjoy the game.
