On January 13th, while preparing the station and ambulance for shift change at work, our President, Justin Bean suffered a serious fall and was found altered and confused with back pain. He was transported to UPMC and later diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury (TBI) at WVU Ruby.
President Bean is now following up with the WVU TBI Clinic, attending occupational and physical therapy for ongoing memory issues, headaches, and weakness. He has a long road ahead and will be out of work for an extended period of time as he focuses on recovery.
As first responders, we always show up for others — now it’s our turn to show up for one of our own.
We’ve put together a t-shirt fundraiser with Allegany County Emergency Services IAFF Local 1715, with $5 from every shirt going directly to Justin and his family in their difficult time.
The shirt store will be open until February 16th at 9am.
Delivery and shipping by March 2nd.
