ASSAULT ARREST

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Christopher Reuschel. The warrant was issued as a result of an incident that occurred earlier in the day at approximately 5:59 AM when officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of E. First Street for an assault. Police contacted the alleged victim, who reported that she was assaulted by Christopher Reuschel. Reuschel had left prior to police arrival. Officers observed that the victim had sustained injuries. After further investigation, police filed for charges against Reuschel at the District Court of Allegany County. He was later located by officers and arrested. Reuschel was seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

ASSAULT ARREST

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, at approximately 7:36 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 block of Virginia Avenue for an assault. Police contacted the alleged victim, who reported that he was assaulted by Naomi Manges. Officers observed that the victim had sustained injuries. After further investigation, Manges was arrested and transported to Central Booking. She was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and released on her personal recognizance.

ASSAULT/BURGLARY ARREST

On Friday, June 5, 2026, at approximately 7:56 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 block of Columbia Street for a burglary/assault. Police contacted Rachael McKenzie and the resident. The resident reported that McKenzie assaulted him and broke into his residence. After further investigation, McKenzie was arrested and transported to Central Booking. She was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $2,000 bond.

CRIMINAL SUMMONSES SERVED

On Friday, June 5, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served criminal summonses on Macario Gonzales and Caitlin Gonzales. The summonses were issued as a result of a private citizen filing charges against them at the District Court of Allegany County. They were released pending trial.

VIOLATION OF PROBATION

On June 4, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Misty Dawn Jenkins. The warrant was issued after Jenkins failed to obey a court condition on May 15, 2026. Jenkins was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking. She was later presented before a District Court Commissioner and released after posting a $500.00 bond.

VIOLATION OF PROBATION/FAILURE TO APPEAR
On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Kenneth Dominick Burks, 26, of Cumberland, MD. Burks was arrested on two active Bench Warrants issued in May 2026. A District Court Warrant, issued on May 11, alleged Burks violated the terms and conditions of probation imposed due to a previous conviction for destruction of property. A Circuit Court warrant, issued on May 19, alleged Burks failed to appear in court that date for obstructing firefighters performing their duties. He appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.

FAILURE TO APPEAR
On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Holly Anne Mitts, 39, of Cumberland, MD. Mitts was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court on May 11, 2026. The warrant alleges Mitts failed to appear in court on that date for theft of less than $100. She appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance and was released on a $500 unsecured bond. At the time of her arrest, Mitts was also found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected CDS paraphernalia. For the offense, she was issued a Criminal Citation.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Tyele Powell. The summons was issued as a result of a private citizen filing charges against Powell at the District Court of Allegany County. He was released pending trial.

FAILURE TO COMPLY

On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Kelley Gillen. The warrant was issued as a result of Gillen failing to comply with a court order. She was originally charged with Trespass: Private Property and Resist Arrest. When officers arrested her, she resisted. Officers were able to take her into custody after a brief struggle. She was seen by a District Court Commissioner and held on a Temporary Commitment.

Trespassing Arrest

On Monday, June 1, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department responded to a building in the area of Liberty Street for a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, officers observed Kelley Gillen inside the building, crawling on the ground. Once it was confirmed that Gillen had been previously served with a trespass letter, she was placed under arrest. She was transported to police headquarters, where she was later released on a criminal citation pending her trial at the Allegany County District Court.

ARRESTED: Kelley Elizabeth Gillen, 38, Cumberland, MD.
CHARGE: Trespassing Private Property.

Adult Arrest

On Monday, June 1, 2026, Cumberland Police Department officers were patrolling the area of the canal tow path when they observed an individual asleep at a campsite. Eric Marmaduke was contacted, advised of the nuisance violation, and issued a civil citation. Marmaduke was advised to clean up and vacate the area. Officers later returned to the area a second time and observed Marmaduke still in the area and had not removed his belongings. He was then arrested and transported back to police headquarters, where he was later released on a criminal citation pending his trial at the Allegany County District Court.

ARRESTED: Eric Roger Marmaduke, 56, Cumberland, MD.
CHARGES: Setting up Bedding with the intent to sleep (x2).

Violation of Probation
On Monday, June 1, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Tyler Patterson. The warrant was issued as a result of Tyler failing to obey the orders listed in his probation and then failing to appear for trial on May 27, 2026. Patterson was arrested and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he is held on a $5,000 bond.

ARRESTED: Tyler Leon Patterson, 23, Cumberland, MD.
CHARGE: Violation of Probation (Assault Second Degree).

Assault Arrest

On Monday, June 1, 2026, Cumberland Police Department officers responded to a residence in the 400 Block of Columbia Street for the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Katlyn Brooks and the victim. Once the investigation was completed, Brooks was placed under arrest for assault. She was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where she is awaiting her initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

ARRESTED: Katlyn Elizabeth Brooks, 29, Cumberland, MD.
CHARGE: Assault Second Degree.
Assault Arrest

On Monday, June 1, 2026, Cumberland Police Department officers responded to a residence on Boone Street for the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Dion Alves and the victim. Once the investigation was completed, Alves was placed under arrest for assault. He was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he is awaiting his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

**Trespassing Arrest**

On May 31, 2026, officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to a trespassing complaint on Springdale Street. Upon arrival, officers located Paul William Goetz on the property posted with a "Private Property No Trespassing" sign. Officers arrested Goetz and issued him a citation for trespassing on posted property. He was then released pending trial at Allegany County District Court.
