Cumberland Vol. Fire Dept. (Ohio) The Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1946. Our department offers Fire and EMS services to Cumberland and the surrounding area's.

The Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department is an independent entity, operated and governed by our membership. The squad, while under the Fire Department, and also governed by the membership.

Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1946. Our department offers Fire and EMS services to the village of Cumberland, Spencer township, Rich hill township, and mutal aid in Guernsey, Noble, and Muskingum counties. Our department is complied of 32 members. C.V.F.D offers a ALS squad which is very helpful in our rual area.

To reach our department you can travel from many directions. From Zanesville you can travel east on state route 146 into Cumberland. Traveling from I-70 East or West bowand just get off at exit 169 @ New Concord, and head South on state route 83 to Cumberland. turn left at the stop sign @ 146 and at the next stop sign on the left is CVFD. Coming from the south I-77 from Belle Valley take state route 821 north to state route 340 west. That will take you right into Cumberland, and right to our department.

Cumberland Vol Fire and EMS has a well suited fleet of fire, and EMS apparatus. #51 2006 Ford E-450 Med Tech ALS squad, #52 1985 Chevy wildland/brush truck. Soon to be replaced with a 2013 Ford F-350 4wd crew cab wildland /brush truck. #53 1980 R model Mack 3000 gallon tanker, #54 1988 GMC Pumper/Tanker 750/2000, #55 1988 Pierce Arrow rescue engine 1500/650, #56 1973 AM General wildland/brush truck 750/500.
