Red Flag Warning in effect 🚩
A heat and wind Advisory has been issued for Culver City from 10 AM Thursday, October 15 through 8 PM Saturday, October 17, 2026. High temperatures in Culver City are expected to reach approximately 88°F to 92°F, with Friday expected to be the hottest day. Santa Ana winds and dry conditions will also increase regional fire danger, with easterly wind gusts of 20-30 mph possible on Friday within the Los Angeles basin. Make sure to sign up for Emergency Notifications through CulverAlerts and the National Weather Service.

Fire Prevention Week is coming up October 4th - October 10th 🔥

To celebrate, the Culver City Fire Department will be hosting a Fire Prevention Week Pop-up event at the Culver Steps, next Tuesday October 6th.

There will be interactive booths, giveaways, free fire extinguisher training, and raffles for Fire Department prizes!

Where: The Culver Steps, 9300 Culver Blvd
When: Tuesday, October 6th - 3PM - 730PM
Underground parking is available at The Steps, entrance off Culver Blvd.

The Culver City Police Department and Culver City Fire Department invite the community to attend a remembrance ceremony at Culver City Fire Station 1 to honor the men, women, children, and first responders who lost their lives 25 years ago on September 11.

Next time you are up at Bill Botts Field in Culver City you might see some new faces. These helpful brush clearance workers will be taking care of some of the overgrown vegetation which helps mitigate the risk of wildfires in our high fire severity zone. Feel free to come and see them but please be respectful! Special thanks to our Culver City PRCS department for coordinating this service.
