CULVER CITY MANAGEMENT GROUP CONGRATULATES FIVE CULVER CITY HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS WHO RECEIVED $5,000 IN CCMG AWARDS AT THE CULVER CITY COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS NIGHT ON JUNE 11
Culver City Management Group provided a contribution of $5,000, in five $1,000 awards, to the Culver City Community Scholarship Fund, Inc. which benefits graduating seniors from Culver City High School and Culver Park High School. The group’s annual contribution supports local high school students who are interested in careers in the public sector. The 2018 recipients are Celine Cuadra, Sterre Hesseling, Jack Hyslop, Isabel Musselman, and Collin Nascimento. The students received their awards at the Culver City Community Scholarship Awards Night on June 11 in Veterans Memorial Building.
Culver City Management Group is the bargaining unit and professional organization representing the general management positions employed by the City of Culver City. These managers have vital positions in the City’s Administrative Services Department, Community Development Department, Finance Department, Information Technology Department, Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department, Public Works Department, and Transportation Department. Also, the Group includes non-sworn members of the Culver City Police Department and Culver City Fire Department. CCMG has contributed to the Culver City Community Scholarship Fund for over a decade in order to nurture the next generation of public employees.
The Culver City Community Scholarship Fund began in 1962 through a joint effort of the Culver City Unified School District Board of Education, Culver City High School and the Culver City community. The scholarships can be used at a two-year college, four-year college or vocational training school. The funds are raised through pledges of individuals, PTAs, civic and business organizations.
