🏠 Culver City Soft Story Retrofit Deadline approaching!

If you own a building with 2 to 4 units, you fall under Priority III of the city's Seismic Retrofit Program.

"Soft story" buildings (structures with weak or flexible ground floors) are at a high risk of damage during an earthquake. To keep our community safe, the city requires these buildings to be strengthened.

⏰ Submit your completed retrofit plans by July 5.

Join us for free community screenings and activations as we celebrate the excitement of the tournament together.

Round Three Online Engagement Is Now Open

The third and final round of online engagement is open through Friday, June 26.

Over the first two rounds, the project team heard from the community about neighborhood travel experiences, shared analysis, and gathered input on preferred traffic calming approaches.

This final round focuses on the draft concepts and asks community members to share which options resonate most — and how they could be improved.

To participate:

➡️ Cast your vote
➡️ Share your ideas

The concepts build on one another:
• Concept A focuses on programmatic and limited-infrastructure improvements
• Concept B includes Concept A, plus additional traffic calming and access management elements
• Concept C includes Concepts A and B, plus a neighborhood greenway and traffic calming elements along Elenda Street

If you support a concept but have feedback on what is included or what may be missing, you can vote for that concept and leave a comment.

🏊 Group Swim Lessons: Following the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim structure, these classes provide a fun, supportive environment to learn alongside peers while building confidence and safety awareness.

🏊 Private Swim Lessons: Individualized, one-on-one instruction tailored to your unique needs and learning style, ideal for children or adults who benefit from focused skill development.

We invite the entire community to keep the celebration going with us this weekend on Saturday, June 20, from 12 to 3 PM at Veterans Memorial Park.
