Today, September 11, we join communities across the country in observing the National Day of Service and Remembrance.

On this 25th anniversary, we honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the first responders who answered the call, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

Today is also a reminder of the strength found in unity and service. We can honor their memory by helping a neighbor, volunteering, supporting our communities, and finding ways—big or small—to serve others.

At United Way of Cullman County, we believe stronger communities are built when we come together for one another.

We remember. We honor. We serve. 🇺🇸

We’re celebrating Dolly Day on September 25th!

United Way of Cullman County is inviting local businesses to join us in celebrating Dolly Parton and her incredible legacy through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Businesses can participate however they’d like: special drinks or food, activities, donations, employee Dolly attire, or anything fun and creative! Any proceeds raised through your Dolly Day promotion will benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and help provide free books to children right here in Cullman and Winston Counties.

There’s no required donation or sponsorship commitment to participate.

If your business would like to participate, please contact Kayla Mize [email protected] so we can highlight your business and help spread the word!

Today, we celebrate the hardworking people of Cullman and Winston Counties whose dedication, skill, and service help make our communities stronger every day.

From those who build and manufacture, to those who teach, care for others, serve our neighbors, keep businesses running and contribute in countless other ways — thank you for the work you do and the difference you make every day.

In observance of Labor Day, the United Way of Cullman County office will be closed today, September 7, and will reopen tomorrow, September 8.

Community Fraud Summit Coming to Cullman!

The BBB Community Fraud Summit: Cullman is a FREE event designed to help community members learn more about fraud prevention, common scams and ways to better protect themselves and their families.

🍿 🦋 Popcorn with a Purpose! 🦋 🍿

We are thrilled to partner with our friends at Kernel Kullman this September for a fundraiser benefiting our local Dolly Parton's Imagination Library!

They’ve created a special DOLLY MIX, and for every mini bag sold during September, $1 will be donated to our Imagination Library — with a goal of raising $1,000 to help put more books into the hands of local children!

Every dollar raised helps us continue providing a FREE, age-appropriate book each month to children from birth to age 5 right here in Cullman County.

A huge THANK YOU to Kernel Kullman for finding such a fun and creative way to support early childhood literacy and invest in our youngest neighbors.

Stop by Kernel Kullman, grab a bag (or a few!) of the Dolly Mix, and help us turn popcorn into books all September long!

We’re partnering with to introduce POPCORN WITH A PURPOSE, and we’ve created the DOLLY MIX to raise funds for our local Imagination Library! 🍿🦋💗

In just two years we have served nearly 1,000 Winston County children and delivered nearly 13,000 books in the county!
