๐Ÿ๐ŸŒŸ WHAT A WEEK FOR CULLEOKA FFA! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ

We are SO proud of our Culleoka FFA members and everything they accomplished at the Maury County Fair! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ† 1st Place โ€” Maury County Fair Booth Contest
Our students put in countless hours planning, building, creating, and bringing our vision to lifeโ€”and it paid off! We are incredibly proud to see their hard work recognized with 1st Place!

๐ŸŒŸ BEST IN SHOW!
To top it all off, our booth was also awarded Best in Show! What an incredible honor and a reflection of the creativity, teamwork, and dedication of our members.

๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿ AND THEN THEREโ€™S THE HONEY!
Our FFA members also entered a jar of honey that we extracted ourselves through our agriculture program. Going up against experienced, full-time beekeepers, our honey brought home 3rd Place! ๐Ÿฅ‰

That accomplishment means so much because our students arenโ€™t just learning about agriculture in a classroomโ€”they are getting their hands dirty, learning by doing, and putting their skills to the test.

From building a fair booth to extracting honey and competing against experienced beekeepers, our Culleoka FFA members continue to prove that hard work, determination, and a willingness to learn can take you a long way.

We couldnโ€™t be more proud of this group! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

Culleoka FFA is just getting started! ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ†

A viral social media trend involving the โ€œCat in the Hatโ€ has created concern in our community and school districts nationwide. The "Cat in the Hat" trend involves posting or sharing unsettling AI-generated images and videos of the Dr. Seuss character on social media, often accompanied with vague or direct threats to schools and lists student names.

The Maury County Sheriffโ€™s Department and our school district have promptly investigated multiple โ€œCat in the Hatโ€ social media posts/accounts and identified the source of each threat. Appropriate school policies, disciplinary, and legal actions have been enforced.

We want to be unequivocally clear: Maury County Public Schools has zero tolerance for threats, threatening language or content that promotes or suggests violence against our schools, students, and/or staff.

Individuals who create, repost, share, forward or otherwise distribute threatening content will be subject to disciplinary ramifications at school and criminal charges. Sharing or amplifying threatening content will be treated as a threat.

We ask parents/guardians to speak with your children about responsible social media use. Anyone who discovers a threatening post naming a specific school or person should report it immediately to law enforcement.

Parents, students, and community members can also submit information about known, or possible threats of violence through the SafeTN app. Tips can be submitted 24/7 through the app. The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security will review, assess, and then send all submissions to law enforcement, mental health crisis response teams, and/or school administrators for intervention based on the information received.

Our priority is the safety of every student and employee. We will continue to investigate all credible reports, work closely with law enforcement and take appropriate action whenever a threat is identified.

๐Ÿš€ Future Engineers at Work!

Our third graders became young inventors after reading Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty!

Using the Engineering Design Process, students:
๐Ÿ”ต Brainstormed ideas
๐Ÿ”ต Created blueprints
๐Ÿ”ต Built flying machines
๐Ÿ”ต Tested and evaluated their designs

We love watching our young engineers turn their creativity into action!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

UPDATE: Parents and guardians of students whose names appeared on the list have been contacted directly. If you did not receive a phone call from the school, based on the information available to us at this time, your child was not included on the list.

Law enforcement continues to investigate and we are cooperating fully.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We want to make you aware of an online concern that was recently brought to the attention of school administrators and local law enforcement. A social media account was identified that contained AI-generated images featuring The Cat in the Hat pertaining to Culleoka Unit School. The account also included an image displaying student names.

School administrators, in coordination with the Maury County Sheriffโ€™s Office, promptly investigated the account and identified the source of the online threat. Appropriate school policies and disciplinary measures have been enforced.

We want to reassure our families that at no time were students in danger or unsafe at school. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who brought this information to our attention and helped ensure that the appropriate authorities were notified. As a reminder, if you or your child becomes aware of a known or possible threat, please report it immediately through the SafeTN app. Tips can be submitted 24/7 through the mobile app from any compatible device. The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security will review, assess, and then send all submissions to law enforcement, mental health crisis response teams, and/or school administrators for intervention based on the information received.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to keep our school community safe.

๐Ÿฏ From Hive to Honey: Full-Circle Learning at Culleoka! ๐Ÿ

We were proud to see our Culleoka Ag Department present their first jar of Culleoka honey to Superintendent Ventura at the Maury County Public Schools Board Meeting on September 1!

Thanks to the generosity of Steve McGee, District 9 Representative, our Culleoka Ag students maintain beehives on the property. Mr. McGee has also generously shared his expertise by teaching our students how to safely extract honey from the hives.

This is what full-circle learning looks likeโ€”students learning hands-on, caring for their hives, harvesting the honey, and seeing the fruits of their hard work come to life!

We are incredibly proud of our Ag students and grateful to Mr. McGee for investing in their learning and providing this unique opportunity. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ๐Ÿฏ
