Missie here - What an incredible day!

Project Concern was recently invited to speak alongside Paul's Pantry and Rooted & Rising - Washington Park at an inspiring community event, and I left feeling deeply encouraged.

Here are my top takeaways:

🤝 Authentic Corporate Partnership: Both Sargento Cheese and the Green Bay Packers have a genuine heart for hunger relief. This isn't just about showing up for the cameras—it’s a deeply rooted, boots-on-the-ground dedication to ensuring everyone in our communities has enough to eat. Every one of the four touchdowns yesterday was $2,000 that goes into our communities to combat hunger. That really adds up!

🚜 A Standard of Excellence: The Hunger Task Force, Inc. Farm crew produces the absolute highest quality food for local pantries. Their unwavering commitment to their mission and the standard of excellence they bring to the table are truly admirable.

🍎 The Power of Tangible Impact: Beyond the hard work, the day was filled with laughter and a shared sense of purpose. Walking back into our own Food Pantry afterward, I found myself with a brand-new appreciation for the fresh bushels of apples sitting on our shelves. So grateful for the work we get to do and the incredible partners we get to do it with!

Behind every statistic is a neighbor, a family, or a senior making tough choices between groceries, medicine, and rent.

Right now, we support over 1,200 households across Cudahy and St. Francis. As living costs continue to climb, more of our working families, seniors and Veterans are walking through our doors for the very first time.

From fresh produce and protein to essential cold weather gear, we are doing everything possible to keep up. But staying ahead of hunger requires space we simply don't have.

Where is Nick now? We were so busy this past Friday morning that he didn't even look up as I snapped this photo. Boxes and more boxes, assembled personally by volunteer Nick.
